Software engineering for real business problems.
We design and build business applications, platforms and integrations — with the architecture, code quality and maintainability you would expect from an enterprise engineering team, and the pragmatism of a small one.
What we build
From a focused internal tool to a multi-tenant platform — and the integrations that make everything work together.
Custom business applications
Internal tools, operational systems and line-of-business applications designed around your processes and data.
Web applications & SaaS platforms
Multi-user, multi-tenant web applications with authentication, roles, billing hooks and admin tooling.
APIs & system integrations
Well-documented APIs and dependable integrations between your applications, partners and third-party services.
Cloud application development
Applications designed for Azure, AWS and modern hosting platforms — secure, observable and cost-aware.
Database-driven systems
Data models, SQL databases, reporting and the applications around them — built for correctness and performance.
Legacy application modernization
Incremental modernization of aging applications: new interfaces, new platforms, preserved business logic.
Software architecture & technical consulting
Architecture reviews, technology selection, technical due diligence and pragmatic roadmaps.
Maintenance & ongoing development
Long-term care for your software: fixes, improvements, dependency updates and new features.
Enterprise architecture and platform engineering.
Our technical background spans enterprise software architecture, development and platform engineering — including approximately two decades of work on STARLIMS core LIMS technology. Building and evolving a platform that others build on teaches a lot about extensibility, performance, data integrity and long-lived code.
We also design, build and operate our own products — AppMaker and CodeGuppy — so we know what it takes to run software over the long term, not just ship it.

Technology-agnostic: the right tool for each project’s requirements.
How we engineer software
Practical business value
We start from the business outcome and choose the simplest solution that reliably achieves it.
Maintainable by design
Clear architecture, readable code, sensible tests and documentation — software that can evolve.
Technology-agnostic
We pick tools for the problem, not the other way around — from TypeScript and .NET to Python and SQL.
Secure and reliable
Roles and permissions, server-side enforcement, audit trails and careful handling of data.
From first conversation to long-term care
- 01
Discover
Understand your goals, workflows, users, data and constraints. Identify what matters most.
- 02
Design
Shape the solution: architecture, data model, integrations and the user experience.
- 03
Build
Iterative development with regular working releases you can see and react to.
- 04
Launch & evolve
Deployment, data migration, training — then maintenance and continuous improvement.

AppMaker when it helps. Any stack when it doesn’t.
AppMaker, our AI-powered application platform, can speed up the delivery of business applications — the demos on this site were built with it. When a project calls for a different architecture or technology, we use that instead.
Frequently asked
Which technologies do you use?
We are technology-agnostic. Typical choices include TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, C#, .NET, SQL databases, Azure, AWS and modern AI/LLM services — but the project’s requirements, your existing environment and long-term maintainability decide.
Do you always build with AppMaker?
No. AppMaker is our own platform and can accelerate some projects, especially business applications. Many projects use a conventional technology stack chosen for the job, and we are not limited to AppMaker in any way.
Can you work with our existing systems and code?
Yes. Much of our work involves integrating with, extending or modernizing existing systems. We start by understanding what you have, then recommend whether to integrate, extend, refactor or replace.
How do projects start?
With a conversation about your goals and constraints, followed by a discovery phase that clarifies scope, architecture and priorities. From there we agree on an approach that fits your situation.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance?
Yes. We offer maintenance and ongoing development so your software stays secure, up to date and aligned with how your business evolves.
Have a system to build, connect or modernize?
Describe what you have and where you want to go. We’ll help you find a practical path.
